Adieu to chaliya sahib – Ulhasnagar 1
Two festivals today, one – end of chailya sahib another rakhshabandhan:
Since tradition continues as it has, I stepped down to Ulhasnagar today to a) visit my cousin and sisters b) checking out much waited ‘end of season function’:
Standing under roof to save myself from water, I couldn’t stop myself penning down some things that I witnessed, which most of you would be aware of:
1) Chain of people holding tube lights tied with one wooden bamboo, walking carefully to lighten up the road.
2) As the band started to approach the road, people started getting agitated and kids started kicking me so hard that I could have felt.
3) Out of surprise, came the kid in the group of drummer, with his own little trick of picking up money while laying down ground, at that age only thing we knew was to whimper for things.
4) My hands were busy holding paper and noting all this, my eyes were busy checking chicks crossing the road (wow).rotfl, while some oldies gave me dirty look.
5) *honk honk*, some guys trying to cross packed road; when there is no place to stand, stupid buggers.
6) During all these things, I saw some random guy offering tea to all the crowd “heaven”.
7) My mom carefully adjusting her dupatta, since road was filled with mud easy for feet to drown.
8) *Snap* one girl just felt, looking that one guy approached the near by shop to pick up chair, I was surprised on the kindness, but instead he choose to took that chair for his relatives to watch the parade, stupid fat-ass.
9) Even we are in modern era, where we can watch everything on television/laptop, people step down out of their houses to witness the traditional send off.
10) With the given pollution/noise, I just made excuse to get hell out of there.
11) What I really wish for Ulhasnagar to change is the elasticity of roads.
In all this tough roads/ unfriendly people, noise pollution, don’t know why always I go and watch what I already know. There is some magnetic force which always keeps me brining down to Ulhasnagar and I really wish to get back to place, but I just can’t with the reasons known to me.
so many things at a time.....:)
